  • In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and us;

  • Our in-person interactions with you (e.g., at an in-person event, etc.); and

  • Our other interactions with you.

Collectively, we refer to the above as the “Services.”

It does not apply to information collected by:

  • Us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party; or

  • Any unaffiliated third party, including through any third-party website or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through the Website. This Privacy Policy does govern information collected through the App.

International Residents and Cross-Border Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information receives appropriate protection, for instance by relying on Standard Contractual Clauses or other recognized legal mechanisms where required by law.

Children Under the Age of 18

Our Website is not intended for children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any personal information to or on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on this Website or through any of its features, register on the Website, make any purchases through the Website, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Website, including information:

  • By which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline ("personal information"); and

  • About your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Website, and usage details.

We only collect personal data that is reasonably necessary, adequate, and relevant to achieve the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Policy. We do not collect or retain excessive personal data or use information for secondary purposes without your consent.

Because Velora is designed for Bible study and sermon-related features, content you choose to submit may reveal information about your religious beliefs or practices. For example, this may include a sermon recording, transcript, notes, questions, selected passages, or requests submitted to AI-powered features. We use this content only to provide the specific features you choose to use, maintain and secure the App, comply with applicable law, and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. We do not require you to provide sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for the features you choose to use. Please do not submit sensitive information unless you intend for us to process it to provide the requested feature. Any sensitive information will be treated with enhanced care in accordance with applicable laws.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health or genetic information, or biometric data, except where directly relevant and permitted by law. Please refrain from submitting such information unless it is required for service provision and you consent to its processing. Any sensitive information will be treated with enhanced care in accordance with applicable laws. Where we collect or process sensitive personal data, we will do so only with your explicit consent, obtained by check box, written acknowledgment, or similar means, consistent with applicable law.

We collect this information:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.

  • Automatically as you navigate through the site. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through web beacons and other tracking technologies.

Information You Provide to Us

The information we collect on or through our Services may include:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Website. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Website, subscribing to our services, or requesting further services, such as your name and email address. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Website or Services.

  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.

  • Details of transactions and purchases you make through our Services, including subscriptions purchased through the App via Apple In-App Purchase (IAP) on iOS or Google Play Billing on Android, or through our Website via Stripe. You may be required to provide financial information when purchasing through our Website. Purchases made through Apple IAP or Google Play Billing are processed by Apple or Google respectively and are subject to their applicable privacy policies.

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication credentials, and subscription status.

  • Content you choose to create, record, upload, or submit through the App, such as audio recordings, sermon transcripts, notes, saved content, Bible-study questions, prompts, and feedback.

  • Information you provide when communicating with our support team or responding to surveys or other communications.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies

As you navigate through and interact with our Website or use the App, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, device, usage patterns, and app activity, including:

  • Details of your visits to our Website, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Website.

  • Information about your computer and internet connection when using our Website, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.

  • App usage and event data, including which features you use, screens you visit, actions you take, session length, and in-app events, collected through analytics tools.

  • Device and technical information from the App, including your device model, operating system version, app version, unique device or installation identifiers, and mobile network information.

  • Crash reports, error logs, and app performance data, such as load times and failure events, used to diagnose and fix issues with the App.

The information we collect automatically may include personal information. It helps us to improve our Website and App and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to:

  • Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.

  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Website and App according to your individual interests.

  • Speed up your searches.

  • Recognize you when you return to our Website or reopen the App.

The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

  • Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. Although our Website does not currently use cookies, we may implement cookies or similar tools in the future to support functionality, analytics, or other features consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Web Beacons. Pages of our Website and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).

  • Mobile Analytics and Event Tracking SDKs. The App may use third-party software development kits (SDKs) to collect usage data automatically. These SDKs may record information such as which features you use, screens you visit, actions you take, session duration, and technical performance data such as crash reports and load times. This data is collected at the SDK level when you use the App and is used to improve the App’s performance and user experience.

We do not collect personal information automatically, but we may tie non-personal information collected automatically to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or that you provide to us.

How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us through the Website or App, including any personal information:

  • To present our App and Website and their contents to you.

  • To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.

  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.

  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.

  • To notify you about changes to our Website or any products or services we offer or provide through them.

  • In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.

  • For any other purpose with your consent.

We may use your provided contact information to send transactional communications (such as one-time passcodes, sign-in links, subscription confirmations, payment receipts, account status notifications, and other administrative notices) and, with your consent or as allowed by law, to send promotional offers. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time, but essential service messages will still be sent.

We may also use the information we have collected from you to enable us to display advertisements to our advertisers' target audiences. Even though we do not disclose your personal information for these purposes without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, the advertiser may assume that you meet its target criteria.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this privacy policy:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.

  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business. All service providers engaged by the Company are contractually obligated to protect your personal information and use it only for providing services to us.

  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Company about our users is among the assets transferred.

  • To third parties in the form of aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

  • To create and maintain your account and provide the App’s requested features.

  • To process recordings, transcripts, prompts, notes, and other content you submit to provide transcription and optional AI-powered study features.

  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.

  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

  • With your consent.

We may also disclose your personal information:

  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

  • To enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.

  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

We use trusted third-party companies to perform certain business-related functions on our behalf. We require all partners to adhere to appropriate confidentiality and security standards. These include:

  • AI-Powered Features and Third-Party AI Processing: Velora offers optional AI-powered features, including sermon transcription, sermon summaries and outlines, reference detection, and Bible-study assistance. We commonly refer to these features as “Relay” and “Ask Velora.” When you choose to use an AI-powered feature, we share the content necessary to provide that feature with third-party service providers that process it on our behalf. Depending on the feature you use, the information shared may include audio recordings you choose to record or upload, transcripts, prompts, questions, notes, selected Bible passages, and limited account or technical information necessary to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the feature. We use OpenAI, xAI (Grok), Anthropic, and AssemblyAI to provide these features. Those providers process your content solely to deliver the requested feature and are subject to their applicable contractual terms and privacy practices. We configure these services so that customer content is not used to train their general-purpose AI models. Your use of an AI-powered feature is voluntary. If you choose not to use an AI-powered feature, the related transcription, summary, analysis, or AI-study functionality will not be available. We retain audio recordings, transcripts, prompts, and AI-generated outputs until you delete them from your account, or your account is deleted per your request, subject to backups, legal obligations, and technical limitations. Speech and Audio Processing: Everywai uses cloud-based engines to transcribe, outline, and capture references from live audio. These providers may process audio data as needed to deliver the Everywai service, and handling, retention, and disclosure of such data is subject to the third party’s own terms, privacy policy, and legal obligations.

  • Cloud Hosting and Storage: We use cloud-based technology providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), to host our servers and databases and to store certain user data in a secure cloud environment. Your data is stored on such secure servers, but remains under our control and is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  • Payment Processors: for any payments we collect (like subscription fees), we use compliant third-party payment gateways, including online payment processors such as Stripe. These providers process your payment information securely on our behalf. We do not receive or store your full payment card number or other sensitive billing details; instead, the payment processor provides us with limited information needed to confirm that a transaction was completed (for example, payment status and basic transaction identifiers).

  • Email and Communication Providers: (e.g., SendGrid or similar) to send out emails, SMS, or notifications to you. They process contact info for these communications.

  • Analytics Providers: We may use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics or mobile analytics SDKs) to help analyze usage across our Website and App. These tools may use cookies, device IDs, or session identifiers to collect traffic and usage data. This usually doesn’t identify you personally, but some providers may use this data broadly. You can opt out via provider settings or limit mobile analytics through your device settings.

  • Marketing and Advertising Partners: If we perform any marketing campaigns, we may use services like MailChimp to send newsletters (hence they handle email), or ad platforms to show our ads (which might involve using hashed info or cookies – though we currently don’t engage in targeted advertising using your personal info without consent).

  • Other Contractors: We may use consultants, attorneys, accountants, and insurers who, in performing their services, might have incidental access to certain systems or data.

The categories of personal information we may disclose include:

  • Personal Information and Identifiers, such as your name and email address (which are required for account registration), and any additional contact details (for example, address or telephone number) that you choose to provide to us.

  • Commercial Information, such as records and history of purchases.

  • Internet or similar network activity.

We retain your personal information only as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required or permitted by applicable law.

Third Party Collection

On mobile devices, you may also limit ad tracking through your device's operating system settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt-out of receiving ads that are personalized by following our instructions presented on:

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password or other credentials for access to certain parts of our Website or App, you are responsible for keeping this information confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information by using commercially reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, including encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on our Services. In the event of a data breach involving your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

We will post changes to this Privacy Policy on our Website and may notify you by email, push notification, or other means where required by law. The date the Privacy Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically reviewing our Website, the App, and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
